Two minutes with...Cindy Le

Meet Cindy Le, Progression Advisor at Kings Los Angeles (Marymount).

Hi Cindy. What do you do at Kings?
I work as the Progression Advisor at MCU. I support students as they transition into MCU and apply to progression universities.

How long have you worked at Kings and what did you do before?
Before working as the Progression Advisor in July 2016, I worked as the Admissions and Special Projects Coordinator for Kings since March 2014. I helped the students I am advising now get admitted!

What do you enjoy most about your job?
I love interacting with students and the Kings Team while learning about their dreams and ambitions. They are always teaching me something new!

What do you like most about LA?
The food and the mountains. There’s nothing better than going on a hike and then eating a hearty meal in LA. We have an endless supply of natural beauty and anything you can ever want to eat is within driving distance!

Where is the best place you’ve visited?
This is such a hard question. I don’t think I can answer this!

What is the last book you read?
Girl in Translation by Jean Kwok.

What is your favourite film?
Bend It Like Beckham directed by Gurinder Chadha.

Who would play you in a film of your life?
Maggie Q.

Which well-known figure would you most like to invite to dinner?
Michelle Obama. She can impart her wisdom while teaching me to cook. Bonus – we can have a karaoke session afterwards!

What is your favourite quote?
“We do not need magic to change the world, we carry all the power we need inside ourselves already: we have the power to imagine better.” – J.K. Rowling
