Yoshihiro Kunisue (pictured top right), introduced to music at the young age of 3, always had a passion for performing. He attended the prestigious Yamaha Music School in Japan where he was able to master his special skill: singing.
He said, "Seeing the look on my friends' faces when I performed karaoke one day was when I realized I should pursue a professional singing career. They were amazed." Yoshi continued to pursue his dream of singing professionally so, at the age of 18, he continued his studies at a different music school and studied gospel music. "The most important piece of information I learned was not only singing; I learned the importance of being a well-rounded person," he told us. Today, Yoshi is a member of the Japanese-based gospel group called The Soulmatics and has traveled all around the world to share his special gift to individuals of all nationalities and ethnicities.
Last week, Yoshi was able to share his unique talent with staff and students at the Kings Boston Talent Show. "It was a pleasure and honor to see Yoshi perform," said Michele Webster, Housing Coordinator. We all look forward to seeing him on a world tour one day!
