In the midst of the Fall and with Halloween just around the corner, a group of Kings Boston students recently went apple and pumpkin picking.
Francesca, an 18 year old student from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, was one of the students who went. It was her first experience of this type of activity, and after the visit to a farm in Stow, Massachusetts, this is what she had to say:
"I would like to experience the American culture during my program at Kings Boston. Apple and pumpkin picking is a traditional activity that most Americans do in the Northeast during the autumn season, and I was very excited to participate in this activity!"
"On October 12, approximately 30 students and I went to Shelburne Farm in Stow, and it was such a fun event. The sun was bright, the day was beautiful, and the apples were sweet. This experience was great, and apple picking is an activity that I would recommend to anyone who is in the Boston area."
