Course content and structure

Depending on aptitude and interests, students will join either Advanced Level Foundation, Art and Design Foundation, Law Foundation or International Business Foundation classes.

Advanced Level Foundation pathway

The Advanced Level Foundation programme has Pearson assured status, and is largely based on A-level syllabuses. The course is highly flexible, and able to adapt to the needs and academic aspirations of each student. It does this through a combination of core modules and a series of elective modules, which can be combined in different ways.

International Business Foundation pathway

Available in all locations except Oxford, this course is designed for students who want an officially recognised business qualification, or to progress to a degree focused on business or management. It is run in partnership with the Confederation of Tourism and Hospitality.

Art and Design Foundation pathway

Available in all locations except Bournemouth, this option offers a great opportunity for students to study art and design in English and develop a strong portfolio which they can take away from the course. It is ideal for students who are interested in studying an art and design-related degree in the UK or their home country, or even for those who are simply passionate about art and design and would like a unique way of experiencing an English learning experience. Our schools have well-equipped, dedicated art studios.

Law Foundation pathway

Offered at our London school, this course is ideal for students who want to apply for a law degree at a UK university or in their own country. It’s a great way for those interested in law to develop their knowledge and their English at the same time. Core modules are combined with specialist modules in law plus a choice of two elective subjects.
